Today at school I had to write about what I know is true. I know that Heaven and God are true. Although a lot of people doubt that heaven and god are true. I believe and know that if there is a Heaven there is a Hell, and if there is a God there is a Devil. People believe that good things happen to them because of good luck; well they are wrong because good things happen to you because God wants you to be happy and satisfied with his love. I know that God has the power to wake me up, giving me life and take me away. We should all believe the truth not the lies that other people give us. I also believe that we have to trust our heart.    

From my parents I nee more time and support. I say I need more time, because my family and I hardly have conversations. We have to take the time to ask each other questions and talk about what is happening in our lives. Support think is a big issue that we and my family have.  I need to have more support form my mom. I need her to go to the school events and those special moments in my life.  Overall think that my we need to have a closer relationship.   

What I want to learn about my culture is the Mexican music. I want to know when the music was first established and where it came from.  I also want to know if the music has any influences from other cultures or if it has influences any other types of music. Art is another aspect that I want to learn more about. Mexican art fascinates me because it is very colorful and has a lot of meaning to it. I would like to find out about the Mexican art is who was the first person to invent it. The lifestyle of the early Mexican people is another aspect that I would like to find out more about. The Mexican culture has many aspects that I would like to find out more.

Succes to me has many meanings. Overall,  I think that succes has alot to do with growing up and beging someone in life, not just being someone in life, but you also have to mature. One has to be a self- learner and become independent. Succes could also mean being a good citizen of the world. We have to learn how to interact with each other and live a peaceful life.  

My Culture is Hispanic. Three aspects of my culture that are my favorites are the music, food, and decorations. I favor music because the types of instruments that are involved. Most of the music sung have a story of someone dying or about love. There are different genres of music in Mexico, there are mariachi, banda, and Spanish rock. They are very entertaining to listen to. Mexican food is the best, my favorite plate is enchiladas. They are tortillas soaked in red sauce and stuffed with chicken or cheeses. Drinks are also very delicious, my favorite drink is horchata. Horchata is a rice drink with cinnamon and sugar, it is sometimes served with any plate that you want. One decoration is pinatas. They are usually used in parties.  That are the three aspects that I favor the most.        

The case of Gall vs. Unites States ties to amendment 5. Gall was convicted for selling “Ecstasy” while attending college. After three years he admitted himself guilty. A jury recommended a sentence of 30 to 37 moths in prison, but the district court sentence him to 36 months in probation. Later they found that it was unnecessary to put him in jail because he had stop using drugs and would not go back to his criminal behavior. So they decided to give him 36 months in probation.        Adolfo V. is for the decision that the court made. I think that this decision was fair, because he said the he would not go back to his criminal behavior. If he continues abusing drugs then they should take him to jail. If they take him to jail and give him hard time then that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.Anthony L. is against; I think that when there is enough evidence to prove this issue, which means that the Gall should be crime put on trial for that crime. The government can not take away someone’s life, freedom, or property without following a series of steps that give them a fair chance. So I think that he should go to jail and serve the time he deserves.    

     This a new experience to work with students miles and miles away. I have always worked with classmates or partners in my school.  This experience was pleasant. It had its ”pros” and ”cons”. The pros were that I got to work with people from 
Canada. The cons were that we had some trouble with the voice-thread. If we were to do this again I would change the time-lines. Our group started late and that was not a good idea. We should have started earlier. Some other difficulties we had in the process of this project were that some of my partners did not go on when we need them too. Another thing I would change is that we should be more organized. Overall this was a very cool experience

      The word I chose for chapters eleven and twelve is friendship. This word fits in god because the gang’s don’t fight anymore toward the end of the book. After coming back from court they prove that Ponyboy is innocent, and they can all stay together. The court had ended the case and they were all free. After they all went to visit Ponyboy at his house. Now the three brothers Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry are always together and made a promise not to fight anymore. That is the end of the Outsiders book.  

         Fear fits in really good because in this two chapters, because when the Greasers are going to rumble with the Socs. Before any of this happen Johnny was in the hospital. They had a weird felling that something bad was going to happen they had fear. But Dally still went and fought the Socs. The Greasers end up winging the rumble. After they go and visit Johnny at the hospital and he later dies. Again I see fear because they are all tyring to stay alive and they have fear that they may die.    

I chose Friendship for chapters 7 and 8 because it fits right in to both of the chapters. After Jhonny and ponyboy go back home, all the greasers hang out with Jhonny and Ponyboy. All of the gang have started to connect with each other a lot. They all go and visit Jhonny at his house. They sacrifice their lives for one another. They are starting to become like brothers because they tell each other everything they know. The gang goes everywhere Jhonny goes.
